Future Academies
The Bedelands Academy
At the University of Brighton Academies Trust, we are thrilled to be welcoming a newly created school in Burgess Hill to our family. The Bedelands Academy will form part of the new Brookleigh housing development and will offer exceptional educational experiences to new and existing residents in the 3,500 home development and local area.
The academy will be an all through school, taking learners from 3-16 years old on two sites; one for nursery and primary aged children, and one for secondary aged children with plans for a nursery, a support centre for students with special educational needs and disabilities, and comprehensive sporting facilities, the inspiring installation is set to transform education in the Burgess Hill area along with the other members of the University of Brighton Academies Trust family of schools.
The secondary school site will be highly energy efficient with very low carbon emissions and operational costs. As such, it aims to be the first school in West Sussex to achieve Passivhaus Accreditation, the highest independent standard of energy-efficient buildings.
