About the Sussex Teacher Training Partnership

The strategic direction of the Sussex Teacher Training Partnership (STTP) is guided by a consortium of headteachers and senior leaders who have a commitment to delivering high-quality teacher training in Sussex primary schools. Leadership of the programme is rooted in accurate understanding of local, regional and national teacher recruitment needs.

The partnership works collaboratively with local schools and academies who are strongly engaged in the strategic direction and day-to-day delivery of the programme.

Senior leaders and inspiring teachers support recruitment and selection; provide strategic leadership for the programme; support quality assurance systems and deliver evidence-based training.

The Partnership has been a successful provider of accredited school-centred initial teacher training for over 15 years. Initially led by East Sussex County Council, the management of the STTP transferred to the University of Brighton Academies Trust in 2019, with day-to-day management passed over to our team at Robsack Wood Primary Academy.

Robsack Wood Primary Academy is one of the STTP’s lead partnership schools and is part of the University of Brighton Academies Trust .
