Work with us
We value our staff and believe well qualified, motivated individuals are vital to the success of our academies. By working for one of our academies or the Trust’s central teams, you will be joining us in our aim to make long lasting improvements to the educational achievement of children in Sussex.
We believe top-quality training, continuing development and career opportunities for staff lead to the best teaching and learning for our pupils.
Our career pathway supports colleagues at all levels in their career development and facilitates succession planning and talent-spotting across the Trust.
Continuing professional development
We believe employees should have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. We recognise the importance of training and development and ensure that our employees are continually strengthening their skill sets and developing as individuals.
The Trust has a strong record of supporting and developing teachers who start their careers with us, including Newly Qualified Teachers, Teach First and School Direct participants, as well as student teachers from the University of Brighton and other initial teacher training providers.
Trainee teachers also benefit from networking opportunities with colleagues based at our other academies. When your training is complete, our continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities will help you sharpen your skills and learn new ones as your teaching career develops.
We offer a wide range of exciting and useful employee benefits to all our employees, including flexible working to maintain a healthy work-life balance, competitive annual leave entitlement, maternity and paternity leave, and discounts and offers with popular retailers.

Vertical partnership with Sussex Coast College Hastings
The Trust works in partnership with Sussex Coast College Hastings to provide opportunities for personal and professional development for teachers and staff based in our academies in Hastings and St Leonards.
We have made a commitment to a shared responsibility for providing high-quality education and improving life chances for pupils in the local community. As part of this partnership, there is a range of opportunities available to our employees who teach secondary and post-16 education. The diverse nature of pupils, the variety of subjects to teach and the different challenges mean you too will be constantly learning and developing. It is a very exciting and rewarding area of education, so whether you are looking to teach Key Stage 3, 4 or 5 we can offer you the opportunity to work in a supporting and cohesive environment where staff are valued and engaged.
