Every child is an individual. So we treat them that way. We work closely with you – their parents and carers – to make sure that each and every one of the pupils that joins our three-form-entry Academy succeeds.

We encourage our pupils to be responsible members of the school community, respecting others and constantly demonstrating our Academy values of care, respect, independence, success and perseverance.

We think it works, come and see if you agree

We believe in placing a strong emphasis on the key skills of reading, writing and maths. We take part in national learning programmes such as White Rose for maths and Sounds-Write for phonics: tried-and-tested systems that give children firm foundations to their knowledge.

Our high-quality teaching encourages children to think and behave creatively. How? Through problem solving and working through challenges; through an exciting curriculum; and high aspirations. And we create many memorable learning experiences both on trips outside the classroom and by inviting visitors in.

We celebrate diversity and the richness it brings to school life. We embrace every child’s unique qualities and encourage them to embrace each others’. That way, all our pupils learn to value the wonderful, diverse world we live in.

Our teachers and support staff are well trained to support learners with a wide range of additional needs and first languages.

But we don't do it alone. We believe close links between home and school are important. So we involve you every step of the way, and regularly invite you into school to celebrate your child's achievements.

My child can’t wait to come to school every day and loves her learning experience.

Our Academy provides a safe environment where children feel happy and confident to be themselves. Their needs and their views are listened to, so they feel valued and they thrive.

When they leave us to move on to junior schools, they not only have all the skills they need to become lifelong learners, they are also confident, resilient individuals, rightly proud of who they are.

We are part of the University of Brighton Academies Trust. A family of 15 infant, primary and secondary schools in Sussex, all graded as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

Excellence, innovation and integrity are the values that guide us. We support each other, sharing insights and best practice so we never stop improving.  Our mission is to deliver the best possible education for your child.

Being part of the Trust links us to the University of Brighton: a trusted education provider. We work closely with the University’s School of Education which Ofsted has judged as Outstanding for its teacher training programmes.

Trustees and the executive team are determined to improve pupils' life chances through providing high-quality education for all the pupils in their schools. They maintain a sharp and unerring focus on school improvement.
