Permanent Principals appointed at Hastings and Crawley based academies

We are thrilled to announce that Tom Jordan, Interim Principal at Pound Hill Infant Academy and Dominic O’Regan, Interim Principal of West St Leonards Primary Academy, have both been appointed as permanent Principals for their respective academies.

The appointment was made following a rigorous process involving a high-quality field of candidates.

Dr John Smith, Chief Executive, University of Brighton Academies Trust said: “Tom and Dominic have exercised consistent leadership qualities whilst contributing significantly to the growth of their academies. I’m confident they will play a key role in the next stages of academy development.”

When asked about his appointment, Tom expressed his excitement to continue having a positive influence on his pupils: “Since working at Pound Hill Infant Academy, as Interim Principal, I remain unwavering in my commitment to offer the best possible educational opportunities to all children within the academy present and future, always staying true to why I entered primary education: to provide children with knowledge, skills and experiences that they will take, and use, long after they have left their infant and primary years."

Dominic is also extremely proud to continue serving his community: “I know that through the staff teams' continued commitment and dedication we can provide an engaging, inspiring and knowledge-rich curriculum that meets the needs of all of our pupils and our vision of 'Excellent Learning and Friendship.”

On behalf of the Trust, we wish Tom and Dominic all the best in their exciting permanent roles.
