Local Boards

Our Local Board members are champions for children’s learning and achievement.

Everyone’s life is influenced by their experience at school. Whatever your role and place in our community, if you care about children’s education, becoming a Local Board member might be the opportunity for you.

We have an active network of Local Boards across our 15 infant, primary and secondary schools in Sussex.

You’ll also develop your skills in an environment that will benefit you professionally and personally.

Local Board members include a mix of people from the local community. They work alongside elected parent and staff representatives, and the academy’s Principal.

Local Board members also have the opportunity to contribute more widely to the strategic leadership of the University of Brighton Academies Trust by joining one of the Board of Trustees’ committees.

Local Board members help us by using their experience and knowledge of the local community to strengthen the school’s connection with the community and broaden our community impact
